Upcoming Workshop: Strategy in Process

August 12, 2009

A training course in theory and practice

No matter where you are whether in an office hallway, business meeting, coffee shop, or shopping mall you can’t escapepaper planes discussions concerning the worldwide economic recession.  This and many other existing environmental factors require a dynamic and flexible response from organizations so that they are able to navigate successfully through these tumultuous times.  In fact, many futurists, strategists, management consultants would argue that whether in a recession or not, or whether in a bear or a bull market, organizations need to re-evaluate their positions on regular basis as the world and environmental factors influencing organizations change continuously.  To achieve this, organizations need to truly understand the direction they are taking and the scope of their challenge.  They then need to shape themselves accordingly and ensure that they utilize their resources effectively.  Most importantly all of this needs to be done in a considered manner.

Responding to the current sentiment in the market and the specific needs from our clients, JvR Consulting Psychologists has drawn on their extensive experience in strategy facilitation and will soon be offering a strategy training in the last quarter of the year titled: Strategy in Process: A training course in theory and practice.

The course is focused on enabling delegates to independently design appropriate strategy processes through exposing them to evidence based theories, processes and techniques which is based on a unique combination of business and psychological principles. The course will move from introducing strategy to designing a process to facilitate strategy.

The course will concentrate on assisting delegates with the necessary theory and techniques to:

  • truly understanding an organization’s environmental context
  • appreciate an organization’s future strategic position
  • analyze an organization’s current reality
  • facilitate implementation of gap closing techniques
