		<description>I agree Janna...I&#039;m busy reading Dune and one little passage caught my attention - It talks about how any man experiencing greatness needs to reflect that which others have projected on him, but needs a good dose of sardonicism, or else succumb to his own greatness...a variant on &#039;pride comes before the fall&#039; if you will. 

This for me illustrates the difference between an ego leader and an authentic leader.</description>

		<description>Self-awareness is the attribute top organizational leaders are lacking the most.  Perhaps it is because they are so busy dealing with everyone else that they don&#039;t take the time to reflect.  Or...they don&#039;t think they need to because ego gets in the way.

Strategic self-awareness leads to success though resulting in authentic leadership.  I love the use of assessments and personal coaching to achieve this, whether or not they are Hogan assessments.
