The JVR research team has developed two new assessments, the first being a comprehensive measure of verbal ability and the second of numerical ability.
Over the years, we have come to realise that our clients are in need of assessments able to measure specific abilities and skills not necessarily tapped by assessments of general mental ability. A frequent request in this regard was for verbal and numerical assessments appropriate for use in South Africa’s unique context. The Verbatim (verbal ability) and Numeratum (numerical ability) were developed to meet this need.

We would like to extend a warm invitation to you to become involved in this process. We believe that this research could be of value and interest to you and we therefore encourage all interested parties to help us in this endeavour.
The research versions of both the Verbatim and Numeratum have now been completed. In order for us to refine the instruments and to evaluate their psychometric functioning, we require assistance with data collection. There are three ways in which you can become involved:
1. You can complete the assessment(s) yourself
2. Identify opportunities for data collection in your own organisation
3. Become a data collector

We would greatly appreciate you partnering with us on this research project so we can achieve our goal of getting a large enough sample for this round of research. If you would like to become part of this exciting research project, please contact CJ van Zyl at the JvR research department on casper@jvrafrica.co.za // 011 781 3705 or use the comments below.
